Why John Comegys Gave Back

As John Comegys was about to begin proton therapy for prostate cancer at MPTC, the concierge team called him to ask about his lodging and transportation needs, as he lives an hour and a half away. He said he would drive himself to and from treatment, but he appreciated the concern.

After completing treatment, John wanted to make a gift since he was so appreciative of the high level of care he received from the entire MPTC team. In his words, “it was the right thing to do.” He remembered the concierge team telling him about the virtual pantry, which helps patients who need lodging and transportation assistance. To give back, John donated $1,000 to the virtual pantry.
