emma - maryland proton treatment centerMaryland Proton Treatment Center (MPTC) Patient Emma Capell spoke with CBS Baltimore for a news story that aired on National Cancer Survivors Day 2017.

Capell traveled from Australia for treatment at MPTC. Her journey began less than a year ago, when she lost hearing in one ear and had trouble focusing with her eyes.

She was diagnosed with a rare skull-based tumor and after doing some research, decided that proton therapy at MPTC was her best option.
