Maryland Proton Treatment Center (MPTC) Medical Director Robert C. Miller, MD, MBA, FASTRO, Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, was interviewed on iHeart Radio to discuss the benefits of proton therapy for treating sarcomas.
Dr. Miller was joined by Pamela Thomas, who was treated in the summer of 2016 at MPTC for a sarcoma in her jaw.
“It was a critical to use pinpoint accuracy to protect delicate tissue in her head and upper face. The cutting-edge proton therapy was a precise, painless cancer treatment,” Dr. Miller explained as to why proton therapy was the right choice for Pamela.
